The superstar of Kannada cinema Upendra plays the cop in some of the scenes of his forthcoming release ‘Arakshaka’. This is after 13 years he is playing the cop. He was in the cop get up in his own direction ‘Sshh..’ produced by Kumar Govind. In the meantime producer Munirathna Naidulaunched Upendra in cop role in ‘Kalki’ but that did not take off after muhurth.
Upendra was apprehensive to shave his beard and cutting the long hair. It was not his choice but role of a cop requires such standards. As a spectator I have seen ‘Arakshaka’ felt happy for handling of the subject. It is a tricky and fast paced narration. Whatever acting I have done the credit should go to director P Vasu says Upendra.
Upendra also lauded the producer Krishna Prajwal for investing huge and conducting Homa again and again for this film.
I wish my combination with Gurukiran coming after 13 years of ‘A’ to become another ‘A’ in success. It is Gurukiran who remembered 23rd January 1998 – the film ‘A’ was released. It is exactly after 13 years three days later ‘Arakahska’ with ‘A’ starting letter releasing is a happy coincidence said Gurukiran.
